At Liesch, we work with industrial laundries to solve environmental problems affecting the industry. Laundries are faced with new and changing environmental issues that have an undeniable economic impact. Air permitting and wastewater treatment are two primary areas of concern industrial laundries face today.

AIR PERMITTING

Recent air quality legislation has had far reaching impacts on all aspects of business operations including strategic planning, capital improvements, and daily operations. We provide industrial laundry clients with an initial facility review to determine air permitting and other regulatory requirements. During this initial review, we identify emission sources and points, and then develop Potential to emit (PTE) calculations based on mass balances, testing, or emission factors. A comparison of potential and actual emissions against compliance levels is then made. If required, we will also develop cost-effective solutions to bring plants into compliance by proposing synthetic minor limits, process changes, or pollution control equipment.

We have completed numerous Title V permit applications, and our experience can help your organization to develop a permitting strategy to help you arrive at a proper balance between operations and regulations.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT

We have extensive experience with conducting preliminary planning, detailed design, and construction management of various wastewater treatment facilities. In addition to air and wastewater services, we provide disposal options for solid and hazardous wastes generated at industrial laundries and aid in the final disposal of those wastes. Industrial laundry clients need to evaluate wastewater treatment options such as:

  • Sedimentation
  • Filtration
  • Vacuum Degassing
  • Printer Towels & Pre-Processing Solutions
  • Dissolved Air Floatation
  • Centrifugal Separators
