Bruce is a Professional Engineer and Partner of the firm with 24 years of project management, engineering design, and construction management experience. Bruce has extensive experience serving as a liaison between clients and regulatory agencies involving solid and hazardous waste management issues. He recently completed several solid waste management projects, including the design and permitting of two inward gradient solid waste landfills, the only municipal solid waste bioreactor landfill permitted in the State of Minnesota, and designed the gas delivery system for a landfill gas-to-energy project utilizing internal combustion engines.
Bruce works closely with clients who need livestock facility design and construction services involving manure management and utilization. He is accomplished in the areas of Brownfield redevelopment, having designed and implemented plans for projects including the Quarry Retail Development, one of the most successful developments in the Twin Cities. The Quarry Retail Development is Phoenix Award winning, which was recognized as an innovative, yet practical brownfield redevelopment.
Bruce obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter, Minnesota and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Arizona, California, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, a certified PECFA consultant in Wisconsin, and is pursuing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation. He is currently involved with the American Council of Engineering Companies, the Solid Waste Association of North America, and the U.S. Green Building Council.
